Feed Your Dog Biologically Appropriate Raw Food!
April 26 2004–Feeding biologically appropriate raw food to dogs is really catching on in the U.S. and elsewhere. In spite of scare stories that seem to abound, people are seeing marked improvement in their dog(s) health after switching to this diet.
The basis of this diet consists of raw meaty bones. Hence the diet is sometimes referred to as “Bones and Raw Food”, although the BARF acronym is loathed by many because of its unfortunate connotation.
One of the first questions asked by people inquiring about raw-feeding is, “Isn’t it expensive?” Well, it CAN be. But not if you join a good co-op! One of the best is the Redmond, WA BARF Co-op just east of Seattle, WA.
It is a fairly new group with just over 50 members, but they have scored some impressive deals for their members. They can be accessed through Yahoo Groups.
