Parent Stress

“The central struggle of parenthood is to let our hopes for our children outweigh our fears.”

Disorganization Sparks Organizing Businesses

Vancouver, BC– First established in the U.S. in the early 1980s, the field of professional organizing is relatively new to Canada. Heavy workloads, busy parents with over-committed schedules and the desire to simplify life are just a few of the reasons people seek help to get rid of clutter and to set up new systems and routines based on sound organizing principles.

Sherry Borsheim, Simple Solutions owner and new BC Chapter President says, “This powerful new relationship means that BCPOC benefits from the leadership of a national association, and our local members will be in position to influence the direction of this exciting new industry.?

BC Organizers are making a difference in the lives of clients through hands-on help in homes and offices all over the province. In some cases members serve a global list of clients by offering online workshops, email consultations and teleconferencing.

?Our mandate is to provide support, training and educational opportunities for BC?s Professional Organizing Consultants so we are able to offer clients the best possible service,? explains chapter Vice-President Linda Chu owner of Out of Chaos.

?The demand for our services is great and our membership is growing steadily. BC members, collectively, have years of experience helping clients get organized, so our Association has a lot to offer anyone who would like to become a Professional Organizer.?

The new chapter will focus initially on providing two kinds of member services:

*** Providing BCPOC members access to networking and educational opportunities
*** Generating referrals between members to better serve clients.

Organizing Consultants offer a spectrum of talents and specialties to serve individuals, small business and large corporations. Filing systems, space planning, household organizing, estate organizing or staging are just a few of the services available.
